 A number of people have expressed an interest in seeing more historic pictures of the village. currently the only pictures we have are from the "last 100 years" book, a number of pictures from the 1960's and the present day. All of which are in the picture gallery.
Do you have any old pictures of the village that you would be prepared to let us borrow ? We don't mind if they are a bit faded, aged or even damaged. If you want us to scan them, we will return the pictures promptly and will not damage the picture since scanning is optical and only takes a few seconds. for more information on where to send them to and the various electronic ways we can recieve pictures.  Pictures could be from anything, family pictures, the brochure from when you purchased the house, or even pictures you took as a visitor to the village, it could even be a picture of someone significant to village history. We would specifically like some of the village centre, the historic buildings and the approaches to the village such as from the shrave, before the bypass was buil, etc.
We will scan the picture (or negative) and make it available on the web site - as another way of protecting the village history Clearly any information you can provide about pictures in terms of the location, its age, copyright ownership, etc is all useful and we will acknowledge the owner of the picture in the dialogue below the picture.
