The role of the Chawton Heritage Society is to preserve the history of the village, its character and characters.
The Heritage Society tries to capture the voices and recollections of key figures of the village at regular intervals through history so that future generations can see how the village inherited and maintains its unique features and understand the interests of previous generations.
