Walk In The Footsteps Of Jane Austen In Her Beloved Hampshire Home
To Help Celebrate The Bicentenary Of Her Arrival, the Village Of Chawton Opens Its Gardens

Open Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June, from 1pm - 5.30pm 

A Must For All Garden Lovers Young and Old. Enjoy An Afternoon Exploring 15 Of The Villages Most Charming Gardens Including Chawton House Library

Tickets may be purchased on the day at the Village Hall - £5 per adult  - Accompanied Children Free

In additions to the gardens, we will also have :

  • Horse and Carriage rides
  • Plant stalls
  • Cream teas and cakes
  • Morris Dancing
  • Free Parking in the field behind the village hall.
  • Please ensure you use the free parking and do not park on the main road through the village, this will be used by local residents, the horse and carriage rides.

  • Beating the bounds

    We will start mid morning from the entrance to Chawton House drive, with lunch at the Greyfriar before the second half of our 11 mile walk.
    It is a fun day out, good exercise too, and a chance to meet your fellow villagers.
