Chawton Parish Council provide the http://www.chawton.info site.

It is provided to ensure that the village is well informed of current events and as a way for visitors to find out about our history, heritage and events.

The site is run by a number of local people, their contact details are provided on the “Contact Us” Menu.

Following initial dialogue with Hampshire County Council (HCC) and after consultation with the village, most of the the resulting roads proposal has been accepted by HCC

The re-signage will not significantly increase the number of signs through the village and will only re-instate one existing road marking

In order to reduce the amount of dog fouling in the village and paricularly around the village hall, the parish council together with the village hall committee have installed a new dual-purpose bin at the entrance of the village hall car park.

The recreational ground is being re-vamped, to tidy it up and provide a wider range of facilities for a broader age group.
