Progressive Supper

Print PDF

ImageCome to Dinner!..

A progressive supper has been organised for Saturday 15th September 2007, this is an incredibly sociable event and a great way to spend an evening. For those of you who haven’t been to one before the plan is:

All meet up for a drink at 7pm. Instructions will be given out for where you will be going for your first course and with whom.
There you will receive your instructions for who will be your hosts for your main course.  Later all to the Village Hall for puddings served at a table by your final host. Then stay and mingle for coffee, chocolates and port!

Couples stay together, singles are welcome and the idea is to move around the village and meet old friends and new.
Names are randomly selected from a hat for each course.
You don’t even need an impressive dining room as some prefer to host the pudding in the village hall or make coffee!

Now we just need to know how you would like to be involved

Please let me know:

  • How many tickets you would like to have @ £10pp
  • If you would like to host a course
  • If so which one and for how many people – six is sufficient but eight preferable.
  • Starters are often cold and main courses frequently a casserole so Cordon Bleu not required!

Guests may take a bottle of wine to their main course.
All hosts can claim back for their expenses.

The idea is a fun, sociable evening for anyone in the village, we are not planning this to be a fund raising event, but if any money is surplus it will be donated to the Village Hall Committee to use as they see fit.
