Final farewell and thanks from Linda Osborn

Print PDF
ImageWell… what an incredible end to my teaching career! I received an overwhelming array of gifts, cards and best wishes for the future from so many. My final school assembly was particularly moving as the children gave such a delightful performance. I am leaving Chawton with such fond memories and I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity and for all the amazing events arranged for my farewell which made the last few weeks so special.

After 32 years in the profession, I am so looking forward to more leisure time, seeing more of my friends and family and enjoying more travel. A visit to Sicily to meet the family of friends of ours has been the start of Peter and my retirement. Some time ago we purchased a farm house near Cognac in The Charente Maritime region of France. This has become an interesting project for us and we plan to enjoy more time in this lovely, relaxing place.

Finally, I would like to wish Chawton Primary School - children, staff, parents and governors every success for the future and, no doubt, I will be thinking of you all as you start the new school year.

Linda
