Bad Weather Information

Print PDF

Due to the disruption cased by the ongoing bad weather, EHDC have provided the following information and news including updates on refuse collection. This comes from the main EHDC Web Site and East Hampshire News.

The main site provides the standard refuse collection dates (and a printable calendar for a specific post-code). The news site reports on the 8th of January that refuse collection has been suspended. The advice from EHDC is :

"With many of the district's roads still dangerously icy bin collections have been suspended until further notice. Residents are advised to put their bins out on the scheduled collection day, trying not to block pavements, and leave them out until the service resume"

Update : 14/01/2010 - EHDC have stated that they expect all green refuse bins in Chawton to have been emptied by Wednesday 20th January and if any bins have not been emptied by then, please contact their customer services line on 01730 234295
