A big thank you to Travis Perkins for their support of the latest parish council activity - the repairs to the footpath across 'Simons Strip' and into the Mingledown woods.
Travis Perkins provided the materials, delivery and tool hire to this community project. The project targeted the areas of the footpath by the bridge and both kissing-gates into the wood, as these areas have been very muddy and eroding quickly during the winter months.
To protect the rural nature of the village and to minimise the visual effect of such a change, only problematic areas were surfaced, not the entire length of the path.
The parish council would also like to thank those members of the community that gave up their time to perform the work.
