Progressive Supper
Friday, 15 June 2007

ImageCome to Dinner!..

A progressive supper has been organised for Saturday 15th September 2007, this is an incredibly sociable event and a great way to spend an evening. For those of you who haven’t been to one before the plan is:

All meet up for a drink at 7pm. Instructions will be given out for where you will be going for your first course and with whom.
There you will receive your instructions for who will be your hosts for your main course.  Later all to the Village Hall for puddings served at a table by your final host. Then stay and mingle for coffee, chocolates and port!

Clement Court
Monday, 04 June 2007

Alphonsus HouseFollowing consultation with EHDC relating to the name of the former Darcy House site (currently being marketed as Pemberley Place), the Parish Council agreed that other historical names of significance to the village should be celebrated and preserved in history, thus continuing the existing village traditions that gave us names such as Wolf's Lane and Alphonsus House.

The result is Clement Court - named to celebrate the life of Captain Clement RN who fought in the battle of Copenhagen and once lived at Alphonsus House, (pictured). This is particularly significant due to the proximity of Alphonsus House to the development.
